Urban Decay - The Great and Powerful Oz

Buongiorno a tutti e benvenuti in GolDecay. Da come potrete notare ho preso la decisione di creare un Blog. La domanda che ci poniamo prima di lanciarci in questa “avventura” é:  “ Ho per caso la fortuna che le persone amino quello che vado a scrivere? “. Probabilmente é per questo che la maggior parte di noi non hanno mai avuto il coraggio di tuffarsi in mare. Personalmente ho deciso di rischiare.

Hi everyone and Welcome to GolDecay. I've just decided to create a Blog. The question on everybodies lips before starting  something like that is..."Are people gonna like what I'm talking about?". That's probably why a lot of people  never take the risk. Well I do!

Il tema di oggi , come indica il titolo, riguarda le nuove palette edizione limitata di « Urban Decay ». Per quelli e quelle che non conoscono questa marca, si tratta di un’ impresa americana di trucchi fondqtq nel 1996 da Sandy Lerner, David Soward, Wende Zomnir e Patricia Holmes. La marca appartiene oramai a L’Oréal ed é gestita da Tim Warner.

Today's theme is the new Limited Edition "Urban Decay" 's palettes. For those of you who don't know this brand, it's an American comestics compagny founded in 1996 by Sandy Lerner, David Soward, Wende Zomnir and Patricia Holmes. But it's L'Oréal that owns the company nowadays and runned by Tim Warner.

La marca é conosciuta per le sue numerose palette di ombretti ma anche per il suo indispensabile “Eyeshadow Primer Potion” ( da applicare come base sulla palpebra prima di applicare gli ombretti ). La particolarità degli ombretti d’Urban Decay é che sono molto pigmentati; una piccola dose basta per  ottenire l’effetto desiderato. Hanno quindi una durata maggiore, che giustifica il loro prezzo ( circa 15 euro).  È importante sapere che prima di applicare sulla palpebra l’ombretto bisogna assolutamente assicurarsi di eliminare l’eccesso dal pennello per evitare di avere residui sulle guancia...che ammettiamolo non é per niente di buon gusto.

The brand is known for the palettes of eyeshadows but also for its wonderfull "Eyeshadow Primer Potion" (to apply as a base on the lid before using eyeshadows). Urban Decay's eyeshadows are very pigmented, you  don't need to use a lot of it to have a perfect result. They last longer, so it justifies their price (17 dollars).

It is really important to know that before you apply these eyeshadows you should definitely tap off the excess on your  brush, cause they do have fallouts...and let's face it, dirty cheeks isn't really attractive.

GLINDA 

Perfetto per creare un Look Soft e seducente . Questa é composta da 6 ombretti brillanti di cui 2duo ( divisi in 2 ).

Tornado:  Viola intenso

Aura: Bianco luminoso leggero tonalità blu /Bianco luminoso leggero tonalità rosa

Magic: Rosa con una brillantezza dorata

Illusion: Pesca chiara

Oz: Dorato e Argentato

South:  Grigio

Anche un Rockstar 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil colore melenzana e di un Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color colore « Nude » ( chiamato Glinda ) .

Perfect to create a soft and charming look. This palette has six pans with 8 different colors, two of them are duo-shades (eyeshadow split in half, with a different color on each side). All of them are slightly sparkling (shimmer, satin or glitter)

Tornado : Vibrant deep purple shimmer

Aura :  Iridescent white with blue shift/Iridescent white with red shift

Magic : Pinkish purple with a golden shimmer

Illusion : Pale peach satin

Oz : Gold with gold glitter/Silver with silver glitter

South : Warm pale gray shimmer with silver micro-glitter

But also a  Rockstar 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil deep eggplant color and a Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color light sheer nude color (named Glinda)

THEODORA 

Perfetto per creare un look sexy e ammaliante. Composto da 5 ombretti brillanti di cui 2duo (divisi in due) e 1 opaco:

Broken: Color Crema

Beware: Marrone caldo opaco

Bewtich: Marrone café scuro

West: Marrone metalizzato profondo

Spell: Nero con micro brillanti dorati e verdi/ Dorato metallico

Jealous: Verde chiaro perlato e verde scuro perlato

Anche un  Zero 24/7 Glide on Eye pencil colore nero e di un Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color rosso vivo (chiamato Theodora)

Perfect for a sexy and captivating look. This palette has six pans with 8 different colors, two of them are duo-shades (eyeshadow split in half, with a different color on each side). All of them are slightly sparkling (shimmer, satin or glitter) a part from one that's matte.

Broken : Pale cream satin 

Beware : Warm brown matte

Bewitch : Dark charcoal brown satin

West : Deep metallic brown shimmer

Spell : Black satin with green and gold shimmer/Gold metallic with tonal glitter

Jealous : Pale green pearl/Dark green pearl

The palette also comes with a black Zero 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil and a bright red cream Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color (named Theodora).

Ognuna di queste palette é accompagnata da una fiche illustrativa del modo in cui bisogna riprodurre il look del personaggio che voi avete scelto.

Ma non é tutto! La palette potrà essere utilizzata nuovamente quando gli ombretti finiranno. Sarà necessario solamente scegliere i vostri nuovi colori di UD e rimpiazzarli.

Both palettes have also a "step-by-step" explanations on how to recreate those looks. Wait we're not done yet! Both of them are "Build Your Own Palette" format for total versatility. When you finish the original shades, just pop them out and pop your favorite UD shadows into the cool collectible tin.
